Is It Hot?
And I don’t mean that in a good way!
This leopard vest can add a little interest to a simple black tee and black pants.
When we were young it did not make a difference to us how long an article of clothing would last or if it would still look great after 29 washings. We were not examining the construction of a garment to see how well it was made. Or were we worried about the content of the fabric because it might make us “hot” – the sweaty hot, not the sexy hot. However, if you put on one of those poorly made articles of clothing today, it will look inappropriate, even worse - cheap. Don’t get me wrong, I am a fan of a bargain and will shop the discount stores with every fiber of my being, but if it is poorly made with poor quality materials, it will always look bad. That goes for no matter how old you are.
Now of course we all have our “gardening clothes” or “working around the house” outfits. But just because you are retired does not mean your clothes should be made of poor quality. Review your wardrobe and keep those items that can be repurposed into your new lifestyle. Purge the items that are stained, constructed poorly or are uncomfortable. Then you can look at what remains in your closet with a different viewpoint and identify what you may need to purchase.
